 Overview

Marcosouth stand for : Marine and Coastal development in Southern Africa. The project is funded by GMS-AFRICA, which aim to use satellite data to support sustainable use of resources. The core goal of the project is to provide new decision making services to promote sustainable management of marine resources and marine governance and stimulate regional growth of the blue economy. 

General objective

To provide new decision-making services to promote sustainable management of marine resources and marin governance and stimulate regional growth of thee blue economy.

The specific objective

To improve the regional capabilities of decision and policy makers to further develop, implement and assess the impact of national, regional and continental marine and maritime policies: through user focused services using earth observation and forecasts.
